A beautiful medieval cellar cave excavated by some groups in the area. 1800 tons of debris have been removed to give a breath of life to those underground. These caves communicate with each other on a good part of the hill. They share an old quarry, very small, very pretty and beautifully preserved.

The walls of this quarry are particularly whites because they have been limed. We also see the flashes of lime to the ceiling which clearly shows a projection method of liming.

This part of the cathedral is more modern. In fact, it's the boiler room of the cathedral that has been camouflaged. In cold weather (below zero), a large plume of steam rises and can spin like a snake between the columns to the side. It's pretty fun, unless you want to take pictures.

Mushroom area in a gypsum quarry, exploited on stacks

The SEBILLOTTE quarry was operated from 1838 until 1940. Then, the quarry has been used for growing mushrooms until 1960. There are still beautiful mushroom beds in most rooms of operation.

The underground quarry Port Mahon is one of the oldest quarries of Paris. Its use dates back to the 15th century. It has been classified historical monuments January 4, 1994.

The plaque in the wall gave its name to the quarry: path of Port Mahon.
