The structure of the dome of the Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon was made of wood. But during the Second World War, a fire destroyed it Sept. 4, 1944. It was only that funds be provided by the state for its reconstruction, hospices have not enough money. The repair was carried out by the Chief Architect of Historic Monuments Jean-Gabriel Mortamet according to architectural plans of Soufflot.

Under the great dome of the Hotel-Dieu de Lyon. The metal staircase provides access to the top where a small balcony gives a breathtaking view of the Rhone. The small dome has a circular balcony, overlooking a breathtaking view of the great hall of what will likely become a luxury hotel in 2012. Its concrete structure is impressive and gives a surreal side to the whole. Indeed, outside of the dome remains faithful to the original, before the fire of 1944.

A mythical network. This network is considered as the greatest Lyons network (excluding sewers). Most of the existing maps were untrue or incomplete, probably intentionally to maintain the legend of mystery. Realistically, the size of the network is small, it develops within 2km. By cons, it is full of small surprises and intertwined levels that make it a very funny underground.

The Bridge on the Mulatière is a work of almost 200 meters long. He was carried away by a flood in 1840. Rebuilt by the company Levallois-Perret (formerly Eiffel) in 1916, he was destroyed by the Germans in 1940 and 1944. Contemporary life is much quieter. It provides rail traffic in the Lyon Saint-Etienne.

Before the various prohibitions (and even after) to walk the subsoil of Lyon in the late 1980s, students were fond of underground walks. Moreover, there were few entries directly into schoolyards (now closed).
