This quarry is as beautiful as dangerous. The oxygen level can be low as 13%. It's very low, be carefull.

Photography taken on the top of the iron virgin. The iron comes from russian canons, taken during an old war of the second empire. At the back, you can see the cathdral of Le Puy en Velay.

Underground Clermont-Ferrand are dug in the tuff. The tuff is consolidated volcanic ash, easy to dig. Sometimes you may discover metamorphic rock inside the tuff. This is this kind of rock you can see on the left of the photo. Useless and too heavy, it was left in the underground.

From the cathedral of Amiens, we can see a red tower. It is a chime that gives a bright full color.

The external elevator structure can also serve as a ladder. Very convenient!
