The highest halls of the lantern tower of the Cathedral of Coutances. Its floor has been weakened over the years, it is no more open to the public.

This part of the Romanesque cathedral but is used to support the flying buttresses of the Gothic part. The Notre Dame de Coutances has undergone several modifications over the centuries.

This part of the cathedral is more modern. In fact, it's the boiler room of the cathedral that has been camouflaged. In cold weather (below zero), a large plume of steam rises and can spin like a snake between the columns to the side. It's pretty fun, unless you want to take pictures.

Stained-glass were replaced by wood during the refection of the cathedral.

The whole cathedral is reinforced by these metal rods. Locally, the buttresses have pillars of sites to prevent movement. Height Gothic heart of 48.5 m world record!
