Michael Holley is the architect who designed the district Olympiads in the 70s. This district stretches from the Place d'Italie to the boulevards of the Marshals. The tower Antony and Cleopatra is unusual because it is the only one with an original form. All other towers in the area are rectangular.

The height of the tower is 104 meters. It has 37 floors (official). It largely dominates the surrounding towers.

The EDF tower of Cergy Pontoise was built in 1974 by the architects Renzo Moro and Guy Lagneau. It is the tallest building in the Val d'Oise. It is 86m high and 14 floors. From innovative design, is one of the first buildings in France to have a structure irrigated. The building is constructed with water-filled tubes which protects it in case of fire.

The great dome of the Opera Garnier, home to several dance halls, each with its own piano. The most prestigious occupies the entire area under the green dome. The floor of the ballroom is inclined to replicate that of the theater. A sloping floor allows the public to see the choreography. For some shows, you need a flat surface. It then adds a platform.

Like many industrial buildings, the warehouses of the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce and Industry) have been constructed to withstand heavy loads. Both buildings have followed the trend of increasing concrete, early twentieth century. In the manner of some cathedrals, the lower floors boast a strong and massive concrete pillars whose diameter decreases gradually with height in stages. This is especially evident when one observes the facade from below.

Originally, these warehouses were used to store grain and flour. In taking possession in 1929, the ICC enjoys a strategic investment (The Ourcq channel, railway) and modernized the building to add elevators, more capable than the old mobile cranes to the variety of Goods transiting.

Note: This building was the setting for the movie Dobermann by Jan Kounen (nightclub on the docks).
